Gail Jacobs
I love being an interior designer.
I love helping to create rooms for clients that they will love as well.
Rooms should look as if they belong to the architecture of the house or apartment in which they are situated, whether the design is traditional or modern or a combination of the two.
Several words come to mind in describing my style: informally elegant, comfortable, practical,
and livable.
I work with a wide variety of clients with different lifestyles
and different tastes.
The one thing all my clients have in common is an appreciation of their surroundings and joy in the comfort of their homes.
A good designer should be able to understand what the client finds pleasing and develop it with her own knowledge of what is available, and with a good sense of color and proportion. The clients should feel as if they are part of the creative process and not feel at the mercy of the designer's own style.
I like to do rooms that show evidence of human life, and that always feel inviting.
